Leadership & Involvement

Throughout my time at Texas A&M University, I have maintained involvement in organizations that embody the values I want to uphold throughout my career, from selfless service to building community. Detailed below are some of the organizations and activities I am and was involved in and my role in each.

Aggie Minority Women in Law

President

In this organization, we work to empower and educate minority women pursuing a career in the field of law. My role in this organization began as the founding treasurer, followed by the vice president, and now I serve as the president for the 2022-2023 school year. I work with the vice president and our advisor closely to manage members, events, speakers, meetings, and more. I am also responsible for designing weekly meeting agendas and keeping meetings timely and on topic.

HardChord Dynamix A Capella

member

My time being in this a capella group has provided me a wonderful creative outlet while in college and has allowed me to learn about recording, mixing, music video making, and a lot more about the music industry that I wasn't aware of. This group has provided me with irreplaceable friendship and comfort that I truly cherish.

The Battalion

Senate reporter

My duties at The Battalion are to attend biweekly Senate meetings of the Student Government and create a report on what they discuss. My articles cover everything from past resolutions to committee plans, and aim to provide Battalion readers with up-to-date information on Senate meetings.

The University Writing Center

Undergraduate writing consultant

My role as a consultant at the University Writing Center is to provide students with a peer's feedback on their writing, public and conversational speaking, presentations, and more.

University Scholars

Scholar

This scholarship program has provided me with priceless relationships and lessons that have allowed me to network, become more secure in my career choice, and has allowed me to learn more about myself and my passions.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters

Big sister

This volunteering program has given me the opportunity to work with a 16-year-old girl in the College Station area in all aspects of her life. We meet bimonthly and do bonding activities, such as going to dinner together. In the coming school year, I hope to help her explore future career ideas further and learn more about her home and school life.

Global Economic Statecraft Research Team

Student Research Assistant

In this group, I am one of about 10 undergraduate students working in collaboration with graduate students and Dr. Norris at the Bush School of Government and Public service to study global economic statecraft, publish papers on said topic, and work with the Department of Defense on several matters relating to the academics of statecraft. My current workflow is one focused on hosting an Economic Statecraft conference in Washington D.C. to allow academics to coordinate with policy makers in the interest of national security. I also lead the team running the Economic Statecraft Program's development and funding.
